Tree Logging Northland

Tree Logging serviceSmall plantations are common across Northland’s lifestyle and rural blocks. Many were planted years ago as a long-term investment or to provide timber for future use, but when it comes time to harvest, commercial logging companies often won’t take on blocks that aren’t large enough to be financially viable for their operation. That’s where Arbor Aid comes in.

We handle the logging of smaller tree lots across Northland, working with pine and other plantation species that the big operators pass over. As a local, family-owned business we don’t carry the overheads of large logging crews and heavy machinery fleets, which means we can work economically on jobs that wouldn’t stack up for a commercial operator. We’re set up to assess your tree lot, advise on timing and approach, and carry out the harvest from start to finish.

Logging a plantation involves more than just felling the trees. Access, extraction, processing, and site cleanup all need to be factored in, and the value you get from a harvest depends on a number of variables including tree age, species, condition, and how accessible the site is. We can walk through all of that with you at the assessment stage so you have a clear picture of what’s involved before any work begins.

If you have a stand of trees that’s reached maturity, become a liability, or simply needs to come down to free up the land, it’s worth having a conversation with us. Consultations are free and there’s no obligation.
